Aiden was recognized as Player of the game

We have had a lot of hockey recently with games and practices pretty much every evening during the week and weekends.  After a nearly two month pause on hockey, it feels as if we are trying to cram the season into a month!  We are happy to be back, nonetheless, and are enjoying watching the boys on the ice.  Over the weekend, Aiden's team played in a tournament and Aiden received POTG (Player of the Game) after scoring the game winning goal in overtime.  The goal was scored when he got a rebound after a shot from one of his best friends.  It doesn't get much better than that!

Finn is in his second week of school.  He was ecstatic to go back to school full time after being out for nearly a year when things shut down last March.  We have been doing various combinations of distance learning, hybrid, total homeschooling, etc...but his favorite is being in the actual classroom with his friends.  Aiden is set to return to school on Monday and he doesn't have quite the enthusiasm as Finn, but he is excited to go back.  Luke and Liam are still to be determined.

Even though it seems like yesterday that we were moving to Minnesota and preparing for the birth of Luke and Liam, we celebrated their 13th birthday on January 11th.  We now have two teenagers in the house!  We are so proud of both of them and enjoyed celebrating with cake, gifts, calls from family, and a special dinner in between hockey practices.  We hope to celebrate with friends, if possible, on a later date depending on hockey schedules and, of course, COVID.

We were back in full force with hockey games over the weekend!  After a two month pause on sports in Minnesota, the boys were very excited to be back on the ice with their friends.  Luke's team made the trek to Roseau, MN (about 6 miles from the Canadian border).  John went this year as I went last year.  We were not able to take a bus this year so the drive was a good six hours.  The team played well and finished 6-0 on the weekend with an overtime championship.  Roseau is a place like none other I have ever visited.  The people are all very warm and welcoming and it is a small town with maybe four restaurants, but they love and support their hockey!

Happy 13th to Luke and Liam!  We are so exited to continue watching you both succeed, grow, and mature!
