I think the best week of Finn's summer was likely the week that all three of his brothers went to camp!  While he missed his brothers (at least a little), he had a ton of fun as an only child.  We went swimming, he had a playdate, we went to a new pool at the community center (where ironically I took the big boys a lot when they were younger, but have not taken Finn very much), spent a day at the zoo and an amusement park, went out to dinner at Finn's choice, and managed to squeeze in Finn's soccer and lacrosse.  It was a fun week for all three of us and much easier to juggle the schedule of one kid!  Until next summer Finn....

It's been awhile since I have posted a blog!!  Summer has been off to a busy start and has kept me driving the carpool more than sitting at the computer.  We did have a nice break from hockey camp, lacrosse and soccer games, playdates, etc...over the 4th of July.  We rented a cabin at a resort about two hours north and stayed for a couple days.  We ran into some neighbors with a boat and ended up getting to spend a day on their boat which was also a ton of fun.  Before we ran in the neighbors, we rented a boat and a driver and the boys were able to ski, tube, wake board, etc...for several hours.  We all had a blast.  I haven't been on skis in over 20 years so it was fun to try it again!  The boys all got up on skis (except Finn who preferred tubing).  I am only posting pics of John and I on skis because obviously that is more remarkable than the boys.  We were both sore and tired the next day, but at least we managed to get up for awhile!

In other news, Luke broke his toe in mid June and has had a rough couple of weeks.  Around the time the toe started getting better, he got an infection under the nail bed which was very painful and required him to be on some pretty strong antibiotics for about 10 days.  Once the infection went away, he was able to do a little more but has missed several weeks of hockey and lacrosse while trying to rehabilitate the toe.  Who knew a toe injury would be so difficult to recover from, but it has been quite challenging and likely he still has several months to go before his toe will be more or less back to normal.
